Our Bullis Charter School friends celebrate The Leatherback Trust with a delicious cake!

Every year, the Bullis Charter School sixth grade class visits The Leatherback Trust’s Goldring-Gund Marine Biology Station in Costa Rica. More than 450 Bullis students have visited Las Baulas National Park with The Leatherback Trust. The sixth graders spend a week in Costa Rica engaging in sea turtle research, exploring diverse ecosystems and learning about local customs and culture.

Suzi Berry and Murray Rode generously hosted a wonderful party to celebrate the Bullis Charter School’s ongoing relationship with The Leatherback Trust. Guests enjoyed remarks from Dr. Jim Spotila, famed turtle biologist and founder of The Leatherback Trust, and an introduction by Bullis Charter School’s Founding Superintendent and Principal, Wanny Hersey.

We are so grateful for our strong relationship with Bullis and look forward to their upcoming trip in February of 2016!
